blue earth

the world is not fair.
equality is almost impossible.
the truth is irrational

if we are ourselves frightened.
why must we punish the brave,
and discourage the bold.

it is up to the rich to save us.
but like all heroes,
they must save themselves first.

yet we still,
creatures of instinct and flaw,
stand and taunt.

and we pessimists,
foolish and pretentious,
return back down.
